''Junichiro Tanizaki" Exhibition, Tokyo, ～the Novelist of "Makioka Sisters"&"In the Praise of Shadow"～

 

I stood in front of Naga-juban, Kimono- underwear, @ Yayoi museum, Tokyo, Japan.These are my collection.

The exhibition of " Junichiro Tanizaki", Japanese vintage novelist who nominated to the Novel Prize of Literature 7 times, has been held from 2nd, Oct, 2021 to 23rd, Jan, 2022 there.

And he is the only Japanese novelist collected to the French publisher collection, La Bibliothèque de la Pléiade.

His master-pieces are " In the Praise of Shadow" and " Makioka Sisters". Actually he wrote " Makioka Sisters" wearing the left one on pic.And the design of it was hidden in this novel.

  

 For the instance, there is the kanji-Character

 " 瓢箪鯰" in " Makioka Sisters". This means "Gourd" & "Catfish". This designs are printed on his Naga-juban. Another example there are as same as this. This was my new discovery on Spring, 2019.

  At the same time the book of this exhibition was published and had a good sales, No2 sale on Rakuten books weekly and daily sales ranking.
