The certificate of a toy of samurai armor

 Last year I port here about the samurai doll for the boy's festival day during edo period, about 180 years ago.Please read the past post. After that the unexpected incident had happened.

 Last summer, on 31st, July, 2020, "Takanori Hasegawa" who was the professor of Hokuriku university checked this doll and pointed out that this was not doll but "authentic miniature armor".Only wealthy shogunate and samurai could make it.

 On 1st, Nov, 2021, the organizer of samurai item examined this in Tokyo. As a result, this doll were designed as "authentic armor" and "special precious historical material & art and craft" in Japan.Maybe only severals exists now. One is designed as a national treasure and somes are the importance tangible cultural treasure.

 To make an adult's armor it needs 300,000~ 500,000 USA dollars as same price as a modern house and more than 1 year at the time of edo period in Japan.But it needed a special skill, more money and more time to make this toy armor for children celebration.

  This doll has been descended from No2 samurai "Maeda family" next to Tokugawa shogunate during edo period. It has been made of the gorgeous clothes, gold, iron and so on.Usually another samurai could not use these materials. The samurai antique shop in Tokyo, Japan, has a similar exaple and sell it in 100,000 USA dollars.

 On 9th, February,2021, I had got the certificate of this from organizer, "The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japan Helmets and Aromors" in Tokyo.

   The pic is the toy of samurai armor introduced from No2 samurai family, Maeda family, next to the shogunate of ,Tokugawa family, during edo period.

 It was produced in 1839 A.D., 182 years back. 

  The above certificate is official of "The Association for the Research and Preservation of Japan Helmets and Aromors" in Tokyo.
