Last week the Novel Prize for literature was announcement.Now the most famous Japanese novelist is “Haruki Murakami“. In Japan about 100 years ago the famous another novelist was in Japan who was nominated to the Novel Prize for literature more than 5 times as long as we knew.His name is “Junichirou Tanizaki“.His master
piece is the novel ”Sasame yuki(細雪)”.

One of his old houses is near “Simogamo-jinja-shrine“ ,the oldest shrine in Japan,in Kyoto city.This old resident is called “Sekison-tei” which has been possessed by Japanese electric company.Its plate in front of the gate was written by old novelist ”Saneatsu Mushanokoji“. The area of site is 2000 superficial.

Its garden was written in his novel "Yume-no-ukihashi(夢の浮橋)". This book’s illustration was printed by the famous woodblock-print artist “Shikou Munakata“.In pond many Nishiki-goi “coloured carp“ are swimming now.This house is used as the guest house of the electric company.
