The princess item during Edo period


   This item was for the princess of the 8th lord of Asano family,Hiroshima clan,at the end of Edo period,200 years back.

   When this princess married with the branch of Maeda family,the lord of Kaga clan,this item was made .It was made of lacquerware and gold.According to Ishikawa prefectural museum,this item was one of cosmetic box which was the proof for marriage between Asano family and Maeda family.

   Asano family was one of 7 important generals of "Hideyoshi Toyotomi" who was successor to "Nobunaga Oda" at the Warring state period before Edo period, about more than400 yeras ago .

During Edo period,Maeda family,Kaga clan, present-Ishikawa pref,was No2 position next to Tokugawa shogunate in Edo,Tokyo.Actually during Edo period, 6 marriages were formed between Asano family and Maeda family.

 Mitsui memorial museum,Tokyo,has the same type furniture which the same princess of Asano family married with the lord of Toyama clan,the branch of Kaga clan,posessed.Because the glandchild of this princess married with Mitusi family,the noble

 These pix are the Asano princess's case for tazaku, the paper to write a song.These are printed on the books of  Asano family.

  Next year, in 2019, it has been just 400th memorial year since Asano family entered in Hiroshima castle.I am the descendant of the branch of Hoskawa family in Kumamoto castle.Our branch served to Maeda family,Kaga clan.They were the relatives before Meiji period.So that I have this item as their memento via someone who knows the history of our family.I hope that this item will be displayed at the home and abroad museum or be studied at home and abroad univ.Moreover it will be used for magazines I hope too.Untill now this item does not opend to the world without the museum related to these family in Ishikawa ,pref,Toyama pref and Hiroshima pref.
