Oyama shrine
New Year's Day to 3rd many Japanese visit to Shinto shrine or temple to wish for their security and happiness.Today I went to  "Oyama shrine" for my worshipping. This Shinto shrine is well known for worshipping for the samurai "Tohiie Maeda" who was the  retainer of the greatest samurai "Nobuaga Oda".
Chouzusha
Kaga clan was the 2nd largest city next to Edo,Tokyo, during Edo period.Anyway before worshipping,we must purify our heart and our body with the dipper filled with water,"chouzusha".
Worship hall
After the purification, the hall of worship we must move and throw coins or notes to "Saisen-bako(money-box)" .Then we pray for God inside its building. If you are lucky, you may be able to see "Shinto dance" by the shrine maiden. Some shrine serves "Sake" to worshipers.
omikuji
"Omikuji",fortune slip,we can buy in 100yen,about 1 US dollars. At the precinct the worshiper ties their fortune slip to trees or ropes if it is lucky fortune slip.Because the ancient people thought that the trees were one of God.If we ties our fortune slip to trees, later trees God may achieve their wish.

Some people may buy the various bringer of good luck,"Engimono".They decoreted them at their home or company for 1 years. In Japan on arund 15th January,"Sagichou-day", we burn them.
