Toujinbou Cliff, west part of Japan


  Toujinbou Cliff is a series of the basaltic cliffs on Sea of Japan,Fukui pref,Japan.This cliff stretched for about 1km along Sea of Japan.The name of "Tojinboh" was a corrupt Buddhist priest at zen temple "Eiheiji" near this cliff. He was the strongest and the worst priest out of thousands priests at Eiheiji temple.So other priest tempted him to this place and let him drink alcohol.Finally during his drinking, he was thrown to sea from this cliff.
  After that,his ghost appeared here and made a thunderstorm and heavy rain.It was said that this thunderstorm went to "Eiheiji".These days "Toujinbou" is famous for the location for Shooting TV drama or film.Therefore many tourists visited here.On the other hand,this cliff is well-known for the sight for suicide.During decade,about 200 people lost their life here.Anyway,if you visit west side of Japan,please come here.You can enjoy this view and sea food.Especially, Fukui pref is a good reputation for crab.Now in front of Fukui station,some dinosaur monuments have been put.Because this place is very famous for digging up dinosaur fossils. Moreover Fukui pref is famous for "Onsen",Springs.
